Yesterday was one week after surgery. Still a bit sore and sometimes out of it (gotta love the pain meds) but I'm doing well. Though I am getting really tired of feeling itchy around the steri-strips!
Later today, I have a CT scan of my liver. Doc still needs a better look at this spot on my liver, though she seems pretty certain it's a cyst and benign. In a little while I have some stuff to drink that's mochachino-flavored that's supposed to help them see everything better. I highly doubt it tastes great and I'm sure I'll have to choke down the second bottle. On the plus side, I can still have coffee this morning.
I got the pathology report from the surgery yesterday. The tissue margins around the tumor were clear of cancer. So the doctor had removed enough tissue to be certain the entire tumor had been removed from my body. Also, the two sentinel lymph nodes she removed were clear of cancer. No more surgery needed!
I see the doctor on the 16th, and I'll get results of the CT scan then. I'm pretty certain she'll be releasing me back to work at that time or shortly thereafter. She'll also be referring me to an oncologist for chemo and a radiation oncologist for the radiation treatments. Then the real "fun" begins.
Love & Hugs
