No more chemo!

Chemo is being stopped early! The numbness in my feet got better for a while but since the last dose, it has been really bad. The doctor said I could either continue at a light dose and risk permanent damage to the nerve endings in my feet or stop the chemo entirely. So, stopping it is.

Radiation will start in a few weeks. I have to give my body time to rest before they start doing something new to it. Six weeks of that and I'll be done with treatments. In plenty of time for the Rush concert at the end of June. :)

I don't see my oncologist again for three months for a follow up. By then, it will just be appointments here and there with different doctors to make sure there is no recurrence.

I am elated to be done with the chemo. A bit shocked to be done early as it wasn't even a consideration when I got up this morning. I expected my dose to be reduced again as they had done previously. But considering how bad the numbness has been the last few days, it is the best decision.

NO MORE CHEMO!!!
